Changes are a-comin.....

Hello, everybody!

Our show, Salem History Matters, will be taking a hiatus for a few months. We'll be airing Encore Episodes of some of our favorite shows, so we'll still be sharing our passion for local history with you in the interim.

As you learned in our final episode last year, Kimberli will be diving back into academia to garner a degree in Archaeology!  This is a unique opportunity being supported by the City of Salem that will eventually provide much better customer service to those who find themselves doing development work in a known or emerging archaeological site.  She'll still be working full-time in the Historic Preservation Program as well.  Therefore, she will need to scale down all the other things she's been doing, including joining us periodically on the radio.

I've experienced some major changes in my life, as well.  My young son-in-law succumbed to head/neck cancer after battling courageously for three years. Our family created quite the system to help our daughter care for him, as she had to continue working full-time for their support.  I headed up the Road Crew, accompanying him to all his treatments and clinical trial visits, as well as being the first responder in emergent situations.  Needless to say, caring for this sweet young man and his family was our major focus.

So now it's time to regroup and reassess what we do with ourselves; where we spend our time and focus.  We'll still be researching and sharing local history, as we're too crazy to let that go, but how we share our discoveries is yet to be determined.
